Trammo and Oil Tanking partnership in Nanjing, PR China - Anhydrous Ammonia, Nanjing Throughput Milestone

January 2018

Trammo and Oiltanking Nanjing (OTN) have announced their achievement of breaking the symbolic 200,000 metric tons of ammonia throughput, a full year’s requirement, at their newly constructed cryogenic storage tank in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park (“NCIP”) in Nanjing, China, in only the first 7 months of operation. The state of the art ammonia tank, with a total refrigerated storage capacity of around 50,000 cbm, the largest in China, is located on the Yangtze River near Nanjing, in the middle of NCIP where many of the major petrochemical companies are located.

This achievement was not only a significant milestone for both companies but also for the entire Chinese chemical industry. Oiltanking Nanjing, the owner and operator of the facility, honored Trammo’s ammonia team at a ceremony in Nanjing in January 2018 to commemorate the achievement.
